Quantum Quilts

Whiteboard Explainer Animation Ad

Quantum Quilts is a whiteboard-style animation explaining the unique properties of a specialty quilt fabric. I crafted the animation using After Effects, customizing iconography, hand motion graphics, to create a smooth, engaging explainer. Script support and voiceover were developed collaboratively to bring clarity and warmth to the subject.

Role and Responsibility:

Concept Development, Script Collaboration, Icon Editing, Hand and Object Animation in After Effects, Motion Graphics, Pacing/Timing, and Final Video Assembly. I handled the full creative and technical execution from start to finish.

Tools Utilized:

  • Premiere Pro

  • Illustrator

  • Photoshop

  • After Effect

  • Clipchamp

  • Chat GPT

Timeline:

This production had a quick turnaround of two days.

Challenges and Solutions:

A key challenge was masking the animated hand to make the drawing feel seamless and natural. I also had to fine-tune the timing of sound effects to sync smoothly with the visuals. Careful layering, keyframe adjustments, and pacing refinement helped bring the animation together believably.

Results and Takeaways:

This project gave me hands-on experience with whiteboard animation and taught me how to troubleshoot detailed motion graphics in After Effects. While it’s not my most polished piece, I’m proud of the creativity and problem-solving it required - and it expanded my animation toolkit for future explainer-style content.
